Deshaun Watson's future in Houston is no longer a problem.

The Texans agreed to terms with their franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson on a new extension worth $160 million over four new years, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapopor reported Saturday.

Watson is now locked down through the 2025 season.

Around the NFL will have more on this shortly.

Not even a top 5 QB and getting $40 mil a year.
Maybe Dak is smart to wait out the Cowboys.

Its actually a good deal for both teams. This deal starts in 2022 so he'll be paid an average of 40 mil a season from 2022-2025.

By 2023 or 24, this may not even be a top 10 salary for a qb

Definitely

I think Stafford is the most overrated QB
Don't like him at all
But I never did so to me I guess he is not overrated lol
Guess it depends on how you view overrated

haha

My how quickly the shortminded forget.

Tom Brady should be somewhere on that list for sure. Even this year.

TB is in his final year or two. He's not in the top 5 any longer. See his game against Tennessee to end the year last year.

Great for the QB. Terrible for the team and their salary cap.

Watson is a decent QB but not worth that kind of money.

He will NEVER win a Super Bowl.

lol @ spending an entire year ragging on Lamar then ranking him top 5

Watson is in the top 5-7 range, Rodgers hasn't been consistently top tier in legit like 3 years now so you have to put him over him. Watson is probably better than Brees now but Brees has the most stacked supporting cast in the league (ask Bridgewater) so wouldn't feel like debating it.

Might be in for a rough year though considering his top 2 WR's have about 10 soft issue injuries and 10 concussions between them.

In Enfuego's defense, you did ask to him name 5 BETTER qb's and NOT his top 5

I didn't ask him to do anything. It was somebody else.

Re Brady. You guys have undervalued Brady his whole career. He had absolutely nothing to work with last year except a broken down Julian Edelman. What you guys never figure into the QB mix is ability to lead, understanding the defenses you are looking at over center, ability to get your teammates to play the game right, full speed and cutting sharply and at precisely the right moment, the sixth sense required to know when and where pressure is coming from, the ability to step up in the pocket at the right time while still focusing down field, the cadence of a successful QB sneak. Brady is still at the top of the list in all those categories. He will have a big year in Tampa Bay with all those weapons at his disposal.

LOL.

Nobody has undervalued Brady his whole career. Everyone knows he's the GOAT and have sung his praises since he won the SB against the Rams.

Curious to watch Tampa this year.

Brady looked BAD the last few games of last season. Not sure if it was him, the offense around him, or a little of both.

Brady has CRAZY weapons around him this season and a great coach who will utilize his strengths in this offense. Also curious to see if Gronk has anything left in the tank?

I've seen these "super teams" be formed before and usually results in more bad than good.

However all my bucs friends are pretty excited about this season as i would if i rooted for the bucs
